Come out and explore the beautiful Trail Systems located at the Standley Lake Regional Park and at the Westminster Hills Open Space in Westminster, Colorado!
- Come out and explore the beautiful Trail System located at the Standley Lake Regional Park and Westminster Hills Open Space in Westminster, Colorado during the 2019 Happy Camper Fun Run on June 15-16, 2019. Runners will have a fun time exploring 13.1 Miles of Scenic Trails at the Standley Lake Regional Park (South Course) which includes beautiful views of the Standley Lake, Colorado Front Range Mountains, Wildlife (i.e. Bald Eagles, Coyote, Prairie Dogs, etc..), and several miles of relaxing Shoreline Running.
- The running adventure then spills over to the Westminster Hills Open Space (North Course) where Runners will explore another 13.1 Miles of trails bringing them fantastic views of the Front Range Mountains, W-I-D-E Open Space Running at it’s greatest with miles of views in all directions, and a web of connecting trails which will keep you on navigating toes. I almost forgot, the Westminster Hills Open Space Trail System is also home to the Westminster Hills Off-Leash Dog Park so Runners will be allowed to bring Fido along on their North Course 13.1 Mile Adventure!
- The South Course combined with the North Course will create a 26.2 Mile Loop with about 1,200 – 1,300 Feet Elevation Gain with the Course High Point sitting at around 5,728 Feet Elevation and the Course Low Point at around 5,300 Feet. The South Course ranks Very Low as for technical terrain but the North Course in some sections has plenty of rocks you can roll your ankles on! Both Courses are Fast but if Mother Nature turns up the Summertime HEAT then lookout!! The South Course and the North Course are 99.9% Exposed with no Tree Coverage!
